Accommodation in Akagera National Park is abundant in and around the national park. Rusizi tented camp is a luxury facility comprising of 7 tents featuring an ensuite bathroom, the cottages are tucked along the shores of Lake Ihema, protected by the growing palm trees, these surround the main lodge area which is fitted with a lounge, bar, and dining area, the walkways connect the beautiful rooms to the main lodge area, the lodge sustainable facility is run on solar energy. The tented camp was constructed in 2012 and opened during the same year. The restaurant serves meals from breakfast, lunch, and dinner, they are both international and continental food cuisines, being prepared. The lodge also welcomes children only if they are in the company of parents.
