Amboseli National Park is a thrilling destination in Kenya, it is known for its high concentration of African elephants (AfricanaLoxodonta) the park is strategically placed along the country’s border with Tanzania under the Kenya Wildlife Service, it was gazette by the year 1974 covering an area space of 392 square kilometres, in 1991 Amboseli National Park was declared a UNESCO world heritage site to protect the biodiverse environment.  The protected area gets its name from a local Masai word to means “dusty places”. It is home to several wildlife species including the big five of the wilderness.

Accommodation in Amboseli National Park is abundant, facilities range from the best budget to luxury facilities offering places to stay for travellers, for example, the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge is strategically located within the lodge with rooms built overlooking the open grasses of the national park, it is comprised of 92 guest rooms which have been built to perfectly fit in the environment within which they are built, the rooms are perfectly amazing featuring an en-suite bathroom running both cold and hot water, mosquito nets, and private verandas, the lodge rooms can be arranged as singles, doubles and triples. The lodge is fitted with an elephant bar serving assorted drinks with a restaurant serving both international and local food cuisines to travelers.

Amboseli Sopa Lodge is placed against the backdrop of the mountain Kilimanjaro, it stretches 200 hectares of land, offering comfortable places for travellers coming to experience Africa, the lodge boats a swimming pool,  a restaurant serving Kenyan Cuisines and international meals,  the bar/lounge area offers variety drinks to travellers,  the main lodge area offers a swimming pool, for relaxation, there are 83 luxury rooms among which are honey moon suites, 6 interconnecting rooms and 2 Wheelchair accessible rooms, they offer conferencing area. All rooms at the facility are ensuite with bathrooms featuring flush toilets and run both hot and cold water.

Porini Amboseli Camp is a private intimate luxury camp, located adjacent to the Amboseli National Park, the award-winning Luxury camp features only 10 spacious Luxury tents which retain the composition of the authentic  African feel, the tents are designed from African-inspired prints running on a solar-powered system, each tent has got a hot shower, flush toilet and a private Veranda,  the facility takes a maximum of 20 guests staying in double room occupancy, however, the rooms can be arranged as singles as well to take 10 guests. Prices at the lodge are al all-inclusive rate including game drives in the conservation area. The lodge is an eco-friendly facility with a mobile network, a Restaurant serving meals from breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a Bar area serving assorted drinks to guests including beers, wines, gins, spirits, soft drinks +Teas and coffee.

In conclusion, accommodation in Amboseli National Park is mostly occupied during the dry season when it is a busy tourism season, it is therefore wise to make bookings on time when looking at travelling between the months of December – February and June-September when the conservation area receives more travellers
