Gombe Stream National Park is the smallest national park in Tanzania covering an area space of approximately 52 square kilometres it is a known home to chimpanzees and was made famous by Jane Goodall a primatologist who carried out research for a long time about the behaviour of chimpanzees, it is the longest research ever to be conducted. It was first gazette in 1968 as a national park to protect resident species that call this home, primates present within the national park include chimpanzees, red colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, and olive baboons.
