Travelers to one of the most rated African wildernesses mostly wonder where they will spend a night or 2 while visiting the Kidepo Valley National Park it being so remote, it is no surprise that there is variety of facilities in and around the national park, Kidepo valley national park is tucked along the country’s borders with south Sudan in the far north western part of Uganda covering an area space of approximately 1442 square kilometers, it most isolated of the Ugandan conservation areas and yet having similar and beyond species, the park was established in the 1962harboring many tourist attractions like buffaloes, lions , leopards, cheetahs, rock hyrax, bat eared fox, hyenas, bush backs, waterbucks, warthogs and over 400 species of birds some of which are endemics to the destination..

Accommodation in Kidepo Valley National Park includes Apoka Safari Lodge, a luxury facility as soon as you enter the national park, it is an amazing lodge placed with 10 beautiful chalets, these have been carefully crafted from local material sourced from the communities, the lodge large spacious room feature an ensuite bathroom, twin or double occupancy beds, the main lodge area encompasses of a bar area, gift shop, and a restaurant that serves month dropping meals to guests, these are prepared from the onsite garden. The most captivating thing about the lodge is the unique rock boulders around the rooms, together with the swimming pool that has been crafted from the rock surface.

Other facilities include the Uganda wildlife Banda’s , a budget nice option for traveler, the rooms are self-contained with a restaurant and canteen that offers meals to travelers, this is typically managed by the Uganda wildlife authority hence in order to make bookings it is wise to book in advance directly from their offices.
