Nyungwe Forest National Park is a virgin forest of Africa situated in central east Africa in Rwanda it is among the few remaining Afro montane forests left in tampered first gazette as a forest it was later upgraded to the state of a national park in 2004. It is famous for its numerous numbers of primates including chimpanzees, Angola colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, owl-faced monkeys, pottos, and bush babies to mention a few, other animal species that can be seen in the national park are buffaloes, forest elephants, bush duikers and over 300 species of birds.

One and only Nyungwe House, a luxury facility in the heart of the forest, the ecolodge beautifully stands with 24 rooms with private balconies each of which faces the forest at large, they are fitted with en-suite bathrooms and flush toilets the lodge is the very first luxury facility to be built in the national park the rooms present a modern feel and yet are traditionally designed with art from Rwandan styles. They offer a complimentary wellness spar and Wi-Fi after a long day of doing activities. The onsite main lodge features a well-stocked bar and restaurant serving meals prepared from produce they get in the gardens at the facility.

Nyungwe Top View Hotel is a midrange facility situated at one of the top hills of the former rest region, the main lodge area features an on-site restaurant serving mouth-watering meals to guests, a well-stocked bar with assorted drinks for guests, and self-contained rooms maintained well to enhance guest experiences, the lodge was opened in 2011 it features a total of 12 rooms comfortable and offering great stay for guests, their staff members go an extra mile to ensure guests are enjoy their stay.

Accommodation in Nyungwe Forest National Park can be visited all year round at any time, it is advisable to book accommodation in advance if you are planning to visit during the dry season between the months of December -February and June -early September it is a time when most people visit Rwanda for tourism also regarded as a high tourism season.
