Murchison Falls National Park is famous for the great Murchison falls. It is situated in the northern part of Uganda in Nwoya district covering an area space of approximately 3840 square kilometers, the waters of the river Nile floor along the floor of the protected conservation area, at the escarpment is a magical fall of pressured water through the small meter slit on the rock, the water forms of one of the world’s most powerful waterfall most sought of on almost every travelers bucket list to Uganda. in the 1952 the park was declared a national conservation area protecting mammals, amphibians, reptiles and over 350 speices of birds. The national conservation area is managed by the Uganda wildlife authority.

Murchison Falls National Park boasts a contrast of ecosystems consisting of woodlands, savannah grasslands, forest to the southern part which act as home to wildlife species,  it is one place you can be in position to see the so called big four of the wilderness with ease, these include leopards, lions, waterbucks, bush bucks , Roth child’s giraffes, elephants to mention a few and over 350 species of birds for example the shoe bill stock, African fish eagle, great blue turaco, sunbirds, Abyssinian ground horn bills, pelicans, plover birds among others. Things to do while in the national park include game drives along the southern bank of the park, guided nature walks , chimpanzee tracking in the Budongo forest, and boat cruise safaris to the bottom of the falls.

Flying to Murchison falls national park is done in sessions, and flexibility depends on your flight timing, scheduled flights depart daily in the afternoon to Entebbe or Kajjasni, and charter flights take off any time of day, routings are determined by the weather being experienced on that day. Travelers can fly out from the national park to other interpark destinations like Kihihi and Kisoro airstrip in Bwindi impenetrable national park, flying out to the Kasese airstrip, and the Semliki airstrip in the game reserve, inter park transfers take a minimum of 2 parks while flights to the Kidepo valley national park take a minimum of 3 paxs of 7 pax depending on the airline that you are using.  In cases where guests do not meet the number of people of the craft they pay the extra seats on the craft to beat the number.
