Tarangire national park is a wildlife viewing Park, it is one of the must-see places in the country known for its large herds of African elephants and baobab trees, the conservation area covers an area space of approximately 2,600 square kilometres featuring acacia woodlands, swampy plains, savannah grasslands which act as homes to the abundant wildlife, the national park is underrated, it is one place to see the so-called big five of the wilderness(lions, leopards, African buffaloes, cape buffaloes and Rhinos). The park gets its name from the river Tarangire, it is a permanent river draining the conservation area all year round.
