Tsavo East National Park is part of the Larger conservation area of the Tsavo National Park, it used to be a whole region until it was divided into two by the highway connecting Mombasa to Nairobi, the park was gazette as a way of protecting endangered species living within the ecosystem in 1948, the park is has gone has had a bad history of man-eaters, a group of lions that hindered men at work during the construction of the East African railway, however, this issue was resolved and the region is one of the most sought after places to visit while on your Kenya safari. How to reach Tsavo East National Park is two ways, the park can be accessed by road from different destinations, and Nairobi takes approximately 250 kilometres however this distance varies depending on which gate travellers use to access the national park, it is advisable to use a strong car to the wilderness like a 4×4 wheel car to beat the tough wilderness of Africa. Driving can be on self-drive or with the aid of a tour operator.

How to access Tsavo East National Park by air begins from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or the Wilson Airport, it is from here that you will be transferred by domestic craft to the nearest airstrip, for example, the Batumi airstrip, Aruba airstrip, Sangayaya airstrip, to mention a few, there are daily flights to the destination on schedule or charter flight option.  These can be booked directly with the airline or through a tour operator.
