Tsavo East National Park is one of the largest and oldest national parks in Kenya, it used to be one whole national park as Tsavo National Park, due to the construction of the highway connecting Nairobi and Mombasa, it was gazette in 1948 together with its counterpart the Tsavo West National Park, it is located in the Taita-Taveta country and is home to a wide variety of animal species including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, waterbuck, bush bucks and wildebeest, Tsavo East National park is a great destination to experience the truthiness of the African wilderness.

Tourist activities in Tsavo East National Park are best done during the dry season between the months of December-Febuary and June-September when the trails of the park are much drier and easier to access.
